Russia: US adopts 'military scenario' for Syria

Trump cancelled a planned trip to South America later this week to focus instead on responding to the Syria incident. Eurocontrol, Europe's main air traffic control agency, said aircraft flying in the eastern Mediterranean should exercise caution due to possible military action against Syria.

The United States is attempting to calibrate its response to be strong enough to deter Assad from use of chemical weapons without destroying his government.

Defense Secretary James Mattis said earlier that day that the US is "still assessing the intelligence" on whether the Assad regime is to blame for the recent suspected chemical attack.

Syria's government has denied accusations of using banned weapons such as chlorine or sarin throughout the country's civil war.

And this time people may have nowhere to run. "Not to react is to prove to the rest of the world that what we say does not matter". "Yes, it has happened", she said.

In the past, Trump has condemned others for forecasting military plans, repeatedly blistering President Barack Obama during the 2016 campaign.

President Donald Trump announced on Friday he ordered strikes on the Syrian regime in response to a chemical weapons attack last weekend.

The NATO alliance gave its full backing; NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said in Brussels that the attack was about ensuring that chemical weapons cannot be used with impunity.

"I think that some sort of a strike will be carried out [by the US on Syria, ]" the senator noted, adding that he take Trump's tweet about "smart" missiles seriously, firstly because there was a precedent a year ago when the US hit the Shayrat Airbase, and secondly the American president is now demanded to take inclusive measures on Syria. The opposition has never been weaker. The militants also gave up their prisoners, a key demand of the Syrian government, and handed over their heavy weapons and maps of tunnels built over the years to navigate the sprawling neighborhood. The fact-finding mission of the OPCW is to start their work in Douma on Saturday. A resolution needs at least 9 "yes" votes to be approved.

For its part, Moscow has warned the parties involved against intervention in Syria under false pretenses, stressing that these actions would be absolutely unacceptable and would prompt serious consequences. The US Defence Department said it "does not comment on potential future military actions".

"When our president draws a red line, our president enforces the red line", Haley said.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin reaffirmed the Kremlin's skepticism about the allies' Douma claim, saying Russian military experts had found no trace of the attack.

More than 1,000 Iranians have been killed in the war, including senior members of the Guards.

Its critics say it seeks to cement regional power extending through Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon.

"We need to cooperate", Ryabkov told the Russian newspaper Kommersant. When the international body that is ostensibly responsible abrogates its duty, it is morally incumbent on other powers to step up. Britain is already at the centre of growing diplomatic tension with Moscow over the poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia last month.

French forces have not directly targeted Syrian government sites before, but France has supported rebel forces since early in the fighting that began in 2011. "The poisonous substances were only in their hands", the politician noted.

"We are your men, Bashar", they shouted, according to the Associated Press.
