Earlier today, Microsoft released Windows 10 for PCs Insider Preview build 16288 to the Fast ring, bringing a range of changes, improvements, and fixes to the OS. You will also see that the OS now reports as "Version 1709" which is the official version number for the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update release.
Several Windows 10 users running the Creators update have been experiencing some performance issues, specifically stuttering and framerate drops. The new build also brings VPN improvements, like refinements to proxy for UWP VPN profile, MMS usage with VPN connection, IKEv2 Sleep and Power tweaks, and reliability enhancements. So we will have more builds to release to Windows Insiders between now and then. The gaming community is expecting to finally see why the Game Mode was advertised as one of the highlights for the Windows 10 Creators Update. Users would want to see Windows 10 Mobile evolve with more consumer-oriented features and maybe this would be a better strategy.
