Trump invita al nuevo presidente surcoreano a la Casa Blanca

"El presidente Trump dijo que espera trabajar con el presidente Moon [Jae-In] y lo invitó a visitar Washington próximamente", dijo la Casa Blanca en un comunicado.

Las elecciones que definieron al sucesor de Park tuvieron la mayor participación en las últimas dos décadas.

Con más del 88% de los votos escrutados, Moon ha logrado el 40,28 % de los sufragios frente al 25,08 % de su perseguidor inmediato, el conservador Hong Yoon-pyo.

Moon llega a la presidencia de Corea del Sur tras el escándalo de corrupción de la "Rasputina", que supuso la destitución de la presidenta Park Geun-hye en marzo y forzó a adelantar las elecciones, previstas inicialmente para diciembre.
