National Football League to Release 2017 Schedule Thursday Night

It's been reported that thousands of potential schedules are generated before the final schedule is agreed upon and released.

The full 2017 National Football League regular-season schedule will be revealed on Thursday. From a schedule perspective, at least, the Ravens have a good chance to get themselves back into the playoffs. Though as we know, Mexico City will have a very Raider-centric crowd just as it did past year.

Thus far we know that Miami will host the New Orleans Saints in London, England on October 1st but what we don't know is when they will get their bye week.

Wits students protest against poor conditions in residence
According to the SRC, earlier this year students were moved from Wits residences which was closed down and moved to new locations. Wits spokesperson Shirona Patel explained that the protest was over a new residence called Yale Village in Braamfontein.

The Patriots, who will have their bye Week 9, will have a tougher road in the second half of the season. But the Patriots probably don't mind a few weeks of warm-ups before their grudge match against the team from which they stole the title.

Closing out at home.

Atlanta plays every team it faced in the postseason en route to the Super Bowl a year ago.

Marcelo: No simple games for Real Madrid after Gijon panic
They need any points they can get even if that involves a superhuman effort against Real. The victory allowed Madrid to preserve their three-point lead over Barcelona in La Liga.

The regular season ends with week 17 on Sunday, December 31. The Redskins are no strangers to playing on Thanksgiving, doing so nine times before, but it'll be a different atmosphere with the game being in Thanksgiving. The NFL dominates the competition because it possesses the marketing genius to transform two administrative tasks in the NFL Draft and the compilation of the NFL regular season schedule into primetime must-see television. A lot of 1PM games adds a bit of normalcy. It's nothing more than a money and ratings grab. Luckily, one of them is the home opener, so it doesn't really count, but I was really hoping that part of being the defending champs is that you're immune from the short week, poor preparation, inefficient healing time, and general mess that represents the Thursday Night game. I guess I'm just being grumpy.

Hardest games back-to-back. Week 11 - at Raiders (Mexico) - Sun.

There will be four games played in London, with two in Wembley Stadium and two at Twickenham Stadium. That is an absolutely brutal stretch from a travel standpoint. Then comes a long road trip to Mexico City and a game against the Raiders, a fellow contender in the AFC.
