Celtics fall to Bulls in emotional game

Chicago held a 43-38 rebounding edge for the game. At rear is Bull's guard Rajon.

The Chicago Bulls toppled the Boston Celtics in Game Two of the NBA Playoffs Tuesday night 111-97.

Their output has caught up to those desires so far during the postseason.

"We were so locked in all week", said Butler, who also pulled down nine rebounds as the Bulls capitalised on their size advantage and controlled the inside.

Rondo had 11 points and 14 assists on a night when all five Bulls starters reached double figures.

Ivan Rakitic says Barcelona want to win Sunday's clash with Real Madrid for Neymar, who misses El Clasico through suspension. The Italians are in the semi-finals along with Real Madrid, Monaco and Atletico Madrid, with the draw made on Friday.

Robin Lopez was spectacular again on the offensive glass and raining in jumpers, as he finished with 18 points. "That's where your confidence always comes from".

The Bulls and Celtics don't square off again until Friday, but here's three takeaways from Game 2 to tide you over until then.

That's right. Rondo and MJ are the only two Chicago players to have such a game over the last 30 years.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 24 points and 15 rebounds for the Bucks. Now the Celtics have to win one on the road in Chicago in order to win the series something they are definitely capable of. "But they had great chemistry early on in the season, so it was really good in Game 1 and hopefully it can continue on the rest of the series". There's no way that Thomas could have been focusing only on basketball as this is bigger than the game. The Bulls outscored the Celtics in the paint 32-20 for the half.

"I could hear Rondo, 'Yeah, they gave up". We needed it. We needed an injection of pace into that first lineup, and he did an unbelievable job in the most critical time of the year of getting us to play the way that we needed to play. Bobby Portis was huge off the bench, contributing 19 including two clutch 3s late in the fourth quarter. Those numbers helped Chicago open up a 12-point lead during the first period.

Robertson backs Westbrook to break more records
The Thunder will be without Doug McDermott but could get back Alex Abrines, who has missed three-straight with a knee sprain. With the win, Oklahoma City improved to 46-34 on the season which is good for sixth place in the Western Conference.

Bradley Beal scored 22 points and Markieff Morris had 21 points for the Wizards, who finished the regular season 49-33 and entered the play-offs as the No. 4 seed after not qualifying previous year. That ended up helping him get up to 33 total points in the game, and even though it wasn't enough to get the Celtics the victory, it was enough to keep them in the game until the closing seconds of the contest.

In general, the Boston Celtics have had time to assess and adjust what all went wrong in Game 1. "One thing I learned about this team is through adverse situations, this team sticks together".

According to head coach Brad Stevens, Thomas is expected to play in Game 2 tonight and then fly home to Washington for his sister's funeral and to be with his family.

Bradley says it's important now to pick Thomas up on and off the court.

After Jimmy Butler hit a jumper in the lane over Marcus Smart in the second quarter one Celtics fan in the crowd, who identified himself as Mike S. from Everett, turned to his friend and said, "Why didn't we trade for Jimmy?" You're going to face a lot of adversity. Now, the team looks perhaps the best it has at any point this season.

Iraq officials: 26 hostages, including Qatari royals, freed
The publication said Qatari officials had flown into Baghdad with large bags that they refused to allow to be searched. In April 2016, the Qatari Foreign Ministry said one of the hunters and an Asian worker on the trip had been freed.
