Robyn Slyly Dropped New Song 'Honey' During Last Night's 'Girls'

Swedish pop singer Robyn was so inspired by the "emotionally complex situations" of HBO's Girls that she contributed a new song, "Honey", to the show's current sixth and final season.

"Honey" is trademark Robyn, built on slick vocal hooks and pulsating synthesizers. Robyn herself hinted that something was in the works prior to the episode airing, sharing photos of herself in front of Girls posters last week and teasing: "I think you wanna make sure you watch the new Girls episode on sunday for a little extra special something".

Robyn wrote on Instagram about her love of the show (which previously featured "Dancing On My Own") and explained how creator and star Lena Dunham asked her for music to feature on the new season. "We knew the last season needed some Robyn - after all, Hannah would not be Hannah without a lot of dancing on her own". Below, it's mixed with dialog from Adam's (Adam Driver) film about Hannah (Lena Dunham), specifically the scene where the eventual couple first meets.
