Award-winning South African gospel singer, Lundi Tyamara, has passed on at the age of 38.

Tyamara had been admitted to hospital four weeks ago suffering from abdominal tuberculosis (TB) and a liver condition, his manager Anele Hlazo said. We ask that his fans, supporters and followers join us in celebrating his life.
Jazz singer Dorothy Masuka offered her condolences to Tyamara's family: "We're about to bury Thandi Klaasen and he also dies, which is very sad".

"Tyamara was a gifted musician who left an indelible mark in the country and represented our country with distinction", he said.

Gospel musician Rebecca Malope said she was deeply saddened by Tyamara's passing.
