All three watches in the series are created to be worn all day every day, tracking daily activities, specific workouts and heart rate monitoring. The Fenix 5, Fenix 5s, and Fenix 5x smartwatches are targeted especially at women, and comes with an integrated heart rate sensor as well. It is 47mm thin that offers the same function of the previous generation watches like Fenix3HR. During a workout, the watch will also display route information banners that users can glance down at so they always know where they are.
The watches also feature QuickFit bands, which let users change between formal leather or metal bands to silicone bands without tools.

Like other best smartwatch in the market today, the Garmin Fenix 5 watches will also be able to show notifications from iOS or Android smartphones linked with the smartwatch.

The Fenix 5 will be available in Slate Gray with Black band, Silver with Granite Blue band, and Slate with Amp Yellow band.
